Our guest this week is a Grammy-nominated writer and producer who was born and raised in Los Angeles and started playing drums at the age of five years old. To date, he has landed twelve singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart including Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” and Dua Lipa’s smash “New Rules” both of which he produced and each song hit #1 on Pop Radio. He has written and produced multi-platinum hits for major artists such as Selena Gomez (“Bad Liar” & “Back to You”), Nick Jonas (“Levels”), Andy Grammer (“Fresh Eyes” & “Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)”), and the Plain White T’s (“Rhythm of Love”). He also earned a Grammy nomination for his work on Justin Bieber’s multi-platinum album ‘Purpose’, for which he co-wrote and produced the song “The Feeling” featuring Halsey. Ep. 47: Emily Warren

This Grammy-winning, multi-platinum artist and songwriter has written songs for mainstream pop artists such as Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, FRENSHIP, and Charli XCX. Her songwriting career began early on having signed her first publishing deal while still attending NYU’s Tisch School/Clive Davis Institute. She co-wrote the #1 multi-platinum single, “New Rules” by Dua Lipa, as well as The Chainsmokers’ Grammy-winning hit, “Don’t Let Me Down” which has gone 5 times platinum. In addition to writing break through hits for artists, she is also an artist herself. She co-wrote and featured on the hit song “Capsize” with FRENSHIP and was the special guest on The Chainsmokers’ American “Memories...Do Not Open" tour. Recently, she released her new single, “Paranoid” and was featured on Forbes 30 under 30 Music list for the Class of 2018. This week our guest is the co-founder, lead singer, songwriter, producer and mixer of one of the most influential American punk rock groups, Goldfinger, who have sold 4 million albums worldwide. He is a creative force that drives the pulse of Punk, Pop/Punk, Rock, and Alternative music with his characteristically iconic production and writing style. He has penned hits for artists such as Panic! At The Disco, 5 Seconds of Summer, Sleeping With Sirens, The Veronicas, Good Charlotte, Black Veil Brides and the late Avicii. And more recently, he produced Blink 182’s seventh studio album, ‘California’, which landed the group’s first Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Album”. Our guest is a one-woman creative musical think-tank, a multi-disciplinary artist and visionary thinker whose range of imagination and productivity knows no bounds. This GRAMMY, Emmy and Tony award-winning and nominated songwriter’s hits include the seemingly ubiquitous "September" and "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind & Fire, “I'll Be There for You” (the Friends theme song), as well as the co-authored Oprah Winfrey-produced Tony and GRAMMY-winning musical, The Color Purple. She has written for artists across many genres, including Cher, Diana Ross, Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock, Bonnie Raitt, Tina Turner, Boy George, Patti LaBelle, Justin Timberlake and more. She is an advocate for songwriter’s rights being credited as the first pop artist to address Congress on artist rights in cyberspace. Our guest most recently completed writing, recording, producing, directing and animating “The D,” a song for her hometown of Detroit. She has also started performing a series of sold-out one-woman shows, combining her songs with her comedy, art, videos and technology.
